We first met our client in 2013, when he was referred to me by a couple I had built a home for earlier that year in the same area. I had done some minor repair work on his 40 year old cabin located in Spirit Lake, ID. He had indicated to me that in a few years or so he wanted to do a complete renovation.

In 2016 we started on the conceptual phase of his project, by spring of 2016 we had blasted approx. 300,000 metric tons of rock off the hillside to accommodate the foot print of the new residence.  The project had to be staged properly due to the lack of stable road access into the site and the lack of staging area for building materials and equipment. Our project was “put to sleep” during the winter of 2016 due to road access over the winter months. We then finished the project summer of 2017.

Our efforts along with much problem solving between mother nature and the severity of the lot produced this almost 6,000 square foot home that our client and his family enjoy every summer and fall.
